Former Assistant Secretary at the Office of former President Akufo-Addo, Ibrahim Adjei, has called for an investigation into the source of money handed to evangelist Nana Agradaa by Sammy Gyamfi, Acting CEO of the Ghana Gold Board. The controversy stems from footage showing Gyamfi giving an undisclosed amount of US dollars to Agradaa.
Mr. Adjei questioned the act and the financial means behind it, stating, “What needs to be done is an investigation into the money that he was sharing… Let us find out where this generosity is coming from.” He cited Gyamfi’s previous comments on money laundering, emphasizing the need for accountability.
He demanded that Gyamfi publicly explain the source of the funds, saying, “Sammy Gyamfi needs to tell us where that money is coming from, what your salary is, what land you sold… and the answers that he gives need to be looked at.” Despite Gyamfi’s apology, calls for transparency and accountability continue to grow.
