Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, aka Nana Agradaa, a former traditional priestess turned evangelist, has been handed a 15-year prison sentence by the Accra Circuit Court for duping people with her money-doubling scam.

Nana Agradaa was found guilty of fraudulent advertisement and deceitful practices after a 2022 TV broadcast where she claimed to have supernatural powers to multiply money, swindling many out of their hard-earned cash with promises of effortless wealth.

The court’s verdict is a significant blow to fraudulent spiritual schemes and deceptive religious practices. Before sentencing, the court conducted a mandatory pregnancy test, which confirmed she wasn’t pregnant, paving the way for the sentence.

The judgment serves as a warning to those engaging in similar scams, reinforcing the importance of accountability and integrity.
