The Office of the Presidential Envoy for Interfaith and Ecumenical Relations, led by Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, has called on religious leaders nationwide to officially submit any prophecy or spiritual insight of national importance to its office for immediate review. In a statement released Sunday, August 10, 2025, Mr. Afriyie Ankrah emphasised that this directive particularly pertained to prophecies concerning top political leaders, governance, national security, or public stability.
According to the statement, the aim of this move was to ensure accountability, discernment, and proper management of the nation’s destiny, especially amid current uncertainties.
The statement also made an appeal for fervent prayers for the President, the government, state institutions, bereaved families, and the nation, following a recent tragic accident involving government officials, military personnel, and NDC party executives. It further underscored the government’s dedication to collaborating with faith leaders for Ghana’s peace and prosperity.
