Two people have died and another is receiving treatment after a motorcycle accident at Assin Fosu.
The crash occurred in the early hours of Saturday, March 7, 2026, near Finest Pub along the Cape Coast–Kumasi Highway when two motorcycles reportedly collided.
Preliminary police reports say 25-year-old Solomon Nyame was riding an unregistered Royal motorbike with 23-year-old passenger Patience Pamful from Assin Juaso towards Assin Fosu.
Investigators say the rider was travelling at high speed when he attempted to manoeuvre after spotting another motorcycle approaching from the opposite direction and turning towards a junction near the pub.
In the process, he allegedly moved into the oncoming lane and collided with another unregistered Royal motorbike ridden by 19-year-old Daniel Agyeko.
The impact threw the riders and passenger onto the roadside pavement, leaving them seriously injured.
All three were rushed to St. Francis Xavier Hospital for treatment.
According to the Central North Regional command of the Ghana Police Service Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD), Daniel Agyeko and Patience Pamful were pronounced dead on arrival, while Solomon Nyame is currently receiving treatment.
Central North Regional MTTD Commander Wonder Lumor confirmed the incident and said the bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.
