In a gesture of unity and goodwill, Malta Guinness paid a courtesy visit to Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu during the final days of the holy month of Ramadan.

The visit formed part of the brand’s ongoing engagement with the Muslim community under its campaign platform, “We Move Together.” Ramadan, a sacred period marked by reflection, prayer, compassion and community, holds deep spiritual significance for Muslims across Ghana.

Recognising this, Malta Guinness used the occasion to honour the Muslim community and express appreciation for the continued support it has received over the years—particularly during Iftar, when families and communities gather to break their fast.

Speaking during the visit, Acting Marketing Director at Guinness Ghana Breweries PLC, Sabina Manu, reaffirmed the brand’s commitment to supporting communities during important cultural and religious moments.

“Malta Guinness remains committed to standing with communities during meaningful cultural and religious moments as a refreshing and nourishing drink, enriched with B vitamins and brewed with a quality that has stood the test of time,” she said.

She also highlighted Malta Guinness’s identity as a Made-in-Ghana brand, noting that the sorghum used in its production is sustainably sourced from farming communities in Northern Ghana. According to her, this reflects the company’s broader commitment to supporting local livelihoods and building an inclusive value chain.

As part of the visit, Malta Guinness presented products to the Chief Imam as a gesture of goodwill to support moments of fellowship during the closing days of Ramadan and the upcoming Eid celebrations.

Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu warmly received the delegation and expressed appreciation for the gesture, emphasising the importance of unity, goodwill and mutual respect among communities.

The brand also indicated its intention to continue engaging with the Muslim community beyond Ramadan, including participation in Sallafest, an event that crowns Eid festivities, as part of efforts to promote togetherness and shared celebration.

Malta Guinness extended its well wishes to the Chief Imam and the entire Muslim community, expressing hope for peace, blessings and a joyful Eid celebration.
