The Ministry of the Interior has cautioned applicants in the ongoing security services recruitment exercise to disregard fraudulent SMS messages regarding medical screening, insisting that no official notifications have yet been sent.

In a public notice, the Ministry clarified that all legitimate SMS notifications for medical screening will be dispatched between March 29 and March 31, 2026, ahead of the exercise scheduled to begin on April 7, 2026, at designated centres nationwide.

The Ministry warned applicants to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to individuals or groups demanding payment through unofficial channels. It stressed that all official messages will be sent exclusively through the authorised sender ID, CSERP.

Applicants have also been advised to verify their status on the recruitment portal before taking any further steps. According to the Ministry, only candidates whose status changes from “Qualified” to “Medical Screening” should proceed with the process.

“No applicant will be required to send money directly to any mobile money number,” the statement emphasised.

The Ministry further urged applicants to report any suspected fraud through its official recruitment email, as part of efforts to safeguard the integrity of the recruitment process.

The directive comes amid heightened concerns over recruitment-related scams, with authorities reinforcing measures to ensure transparency and protect applicants across all regions.
