The Ghana Police Service has arrested a 49-year-old man in connection with a viral video in which threats were made against a High Court judge, raising concerns over judicial safety.

The suspect, identified as John Kwabena Owusu Ansah, was picked up on Thursday, March 27, 2026, at his hideout in Antoakrom in the Ashanti Region, following intelligence-led operations by the Police Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team.

Police say the video contained threats, abusive language, and allegations accusing High Court judge Justice Patricia Quansah of criminal conduct.

The content, according to authorities, sparked serious concerns about her safety and the integrity of the Judiciary.

The suspect is currently in police custody, assisting with investigations and is expected to be arraigned before the court.
