Ghanaian gospel musician Diana Hamilton has revealed that she experiences stage fright despite her reputation for delivering confident performances at major events.
Speaking to Kwame Dadzie on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, the award-winning musician recalled feeling physically unwell before one of her performances.
“At a point I thought I was unwell. I felt like I had a fever. I was having chills,” she said.
Diana Hamilton confirmed that she experienced similar feelings before her performance at the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
She explained that what audiences often perceive as confidence, composure and “steeze” comes from concentrating closely on the musical arrangements and instrumentation to stay in sync during performances.
At the 2026 TGMA, Diana performed about five songs in six minutes, earning praise from music lovers and critics for her performance and costume.
The musician has built a successful career blending contemporary gospel with traditional influences. Her popular songs include Adom, My Meditations, Ahe Ye, Yehowa Behwe and Mo Ne Yo.
Diana Hamilton has now released a new song titled “Nyame Banbofo.”
