The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the immediate closure of the Accra International Conference Centre to make way for scheduled renovation works.

The Ministry said the exercise is aimed at improving safety standards and ensuring the long-term functionality of the facility, which serves as a key venue for major national and international events.

In a statement issued on March 27, 2026, the Ministry indicated that the duration of the closure remains uncertain, adding that the reopening date will be communicated to the public in due course.

It apologised for any inconvenience the decision may cause and urged the public to direct further inquiries to the Ministry through its official contact lines.

The Ministry also reiterated its commitment to delivering quality public service, assuring that the renovation works are part of efforts to maintain and upgrade critical national infrastructure.
