Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has urged newly elected New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency executives in the Central Region to remain united, deepen their grassroots engagement and seek divine guidance as the party prepares for the 2028 general elections.
Addressing the executives, the Effutu Member of Parliament said political success depends not only on effective organisation and hard work but also on faith and spiritual direction.
“Politics is a spiritual exercise, don’t do it with naked eyes. Call on your God, and He will come to your aid at your crossroads,” he said.
Afenyo-Markin also appealed to party members to put aside their differences and work together to rebuild the NPP ahead of the next general election.
He stressed that unity, discipline and commitment among constituency executives would be essential to the party’s efforts to reconnect with supporters and regain political power in 2028.
The Minority Leader urged the newly elected executives to focus on strengthening the party’s grassroots structures and fostering cooperation at all levels to improve the NPP’s electoral prospects in the next national polls.
