Four individuals, including an artefact dealer and three freight forwarders, have been remanded after being arrested for attempting to export 73 slabs of cocaine from the Swiss port at Kotoka International Airport. The suspects – Gariba Soli, Josiah Baidoo, Emmanuel Mintah, and Kwabena Ampfo Anti – were charged with attempting to export a narcotic substance without a license, conspiracy, and possession of a narcotic substance without a license.
According to the facts, Narcotics Control Commission officers discovered the cocaine during a routine inspection of three wooden boxes marked as artefacts. The accused claimed the boxes contained artefacts, but testing revealed the substance to be cocaine.
