Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has announced a temporary partial closure of the road located in front of the Departure Hall at Terminal 2 of Kotoka International Airport.

In a public notice issued by management, the company stated that the affected section of the road will be closed from Monday, May 11, 2026, to facilitate refitting works on the frontage and façade of Terminal 2.

According to GACL, the exercise is expected to last for approximately one month.

The company explained that both vehicular and pedestrian access to portions of the designated area will be restricted during the construction period to ensure safety.

Management further indicated that traffic management personnel will be deployed on-site alongside directional signs to assist commuters and maintain orderly movement within the airport enclave.

GACL assured travellers and airport users that measures have been put in place to minimise inconvenience while ensuring safety throughout the duration of the project.

The company also expressed regret over any disruption the temporary closure may cause and appealed to the public for cooperation as work progresses on the facility upgrade.
