The Ghana Embassy in Doha is advising all Ghanaians in Qatar to seek shelter immediately due to heightened tensions following a missile attack in Doha.
In a statement dated February 28, the Embassy advised citizens to stay away from military sites and crowded areas to avoid exposure to danger, and to keep essential supplies such as medication and food readily available. Citizens were also encouraged to obtain information only from official sources.
The warning follows escalating military exchanges involving Iran, Israel and the United States, which have resulted in airspace closures, flight disruptions and heightened security alerts across several Gulf states.
Subsequently, the Embassy provided emergency contact numbers: +974 44 36 44 86 and +974 70 13 62 81, along with an email address: [email protected] for further assistance.
