The Republic of Ghana is set to receive a guaranteed income of GHS 550million from KGL for the 2027 financial year, based on 50-50 of the company’s gross gaming income (GGI).
The amount is expected to increase in 2028.
This is according to credible intel picked up by the Ghana News Agency (GNA) following the renegotiation of the NLA-KGL deal by the Committee set up by President John Mahama.
Although the information is quite scanty, sources say the payment of the GHS 550million based on 50-50 of the gross gaming income(GGI) was a great deal which will benefit the State through NLA and GRA.
According to a source, “this new income share model of 50-50 on the gross gaming income(GGI) is expected to be introduced across the entire lottery sector.”
