LG Electronics (LG) today announced the launch of its enhanced NeoChef Microwave featuring newly developed African AutoCook Menus, designed to help consumers prepare authentic African dishes more easily and consistently at home. The new microwave expands LG’s localized cooking innovation with 20 African-inspired AutoCook programs tailored to regional tastes and cooking preferences, reinforcing the company’s commitment to delivering smarter kitchen solutions for African households.

Developed through extensive research into African cooking habits and consumer preferences, the upgraded NeoChef Microwave transforms the microwave from a simple reheating appliance into a versatile cooking companion. By combining Smart Inverter technology with localized AutoCook programs, the appliance enables users to prepare traditional meals with optimized cooking settings that preserve authentic taste, texture and quality while simplifying everyday meal preparation.

The enhanced NeoChef Microwave features a spacious 42-liter capacity, powerful 1200W output, grill functionality and LG’s Smart Inverter technology, which delivers faster, more even and energy-efficient cooking performance. It also includes EasyClean™ antibacterial interior coating, intuitive touch-and-dial controls and a variety of cooking modes including grilling, roasting, baking, reheating, defrosting and fermentation, providing greater convenience and flexibility for modern households.

A key highlight of the new model is its expanded Popular Menu category, which increases from 16 to 28 AutoCook programs and introduces a diverse selection of African recipes specifically designed for local consumers. Featured African AutoCook options include; Jollof Rice, Tubaani (Moi Moi), Neat Fufu (Poundo Yam), Coconut Rice, Fish in Curry Sauce, Suya Roasted Fish, among others, enabling users to prepare popular local dishes with optimized cooking settings and consistent results.

“African cuisine is known for its rich culinary heritage, distinctive flavours and remarkable diversity,” said Oktae Kim, Product Director, Home Appliances Solutions, LG Electronics West Africa. “With the enhanced NeoChef Microwave, LG is bringing together advanced cooking technology and locally relevant innovation to help consumers prepare their favourite African dishes more conveniently while maintaining the authentic taste and quality that define them. This launch reflects our commitment to creating products that better serve the unique lifestyles and cooking traditions of African consumers.” The African AutoCook Menu embodies LG’s approach to meaningful innovation by combining advanced cooking technologies with recipes inspired by regional tastes and traditions. More than a reheating appliance, the NeoChef Microwave serves as a versatile cooking solution that delivers greater convenience, consistency and confidence for everyday meal preparation.

Beyond African recipes, the NeoChef Microwave also offers a range of Arabic and European menu options, providing versatility for consumers who enjoy exploring a variety of global cuisines. The appliance supports roasting, grilling, defrosting, proofing, warming and specialty cooking functions, making it a comprehensive solution for everyday cooking needs.

The enhanced LG NeoChef Microwave reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to developing innovations tailored to local consumer needs. By combining Smart Inverter technology, versatile cooking functions and African-inspired AutoCook menus, LG continues to deliver smarter and more convenient kitchen experiences that help consumers enjoy the flavours they love with greater ease and confidence.

The new LG AutoCook NeoChef Microwave is available at authorized retailers across Accra, Kumasi and other locations in Ghana.
