MTN Ghana has taken its 30th anniversary celebrations directly to its customers, embarking on a customer appreciation float through the streets of Accra and five other regional capitals to thank Ghanaians for their loyalty, trust and partnership over the past three decades.

The float, held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, saw employees of the telecommunications company engage with customers and members of the public while distributing tokens of appreciation along selected routes across Accra, Kumasi, Tamale, Sunyani, Koforidua and Takoradi.

In Accra, the activity began at the MTN Ghana Head Office and passed through the Ministries area, Osu and Oxford Street, Ring Road East and sections of Liberation Road before returning to the Head Office.

Speaking during the float, Chief Human Resources Officer, Esi Mmriba Wilson, said the initiative was a heartfelt expression of gratitude to the millions of customers who have contributed to MTN Ghana’s success over the last 30 years.

“This float is our way of saying thank you to our customers. For 30 years, they have trusted us to connect them to opportunities, loved ones, businesses and services that matter. Their support has powered our growth and inspired us to continuously innovate and improve. Today, we celebrate them and reaffirm our commitment to serving them for many more years to come.”

She noted that the anniversary theme, ’30 Years of Progress, Powered by You,’ reflects the critical role customers have played in the company’s journey and achievements. “Everything we have accomplished over the past three decades has been made possible by our customers. This celebration is about recognising their contribution, appreciating their loyalty and assuring them that MTN remains committed to enabling the benefits of a modern connected life for all.”

Throughout the float, MTN employees interacted with customers, shared anniversary souvenirs and expressed appreciation to individuals and communities who have supported the brand over the years. The customer appreciation float forms part of a series of activities marking MTN Ghana’s 30th anniversary celebration.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, MTN Ghana is giving customers more reasons to celebrate through promotional campaigns that offer a range of prizes, including the grand giveaway of nine brand-new Toyota Land Cruisers. The promotions are designed to reward customers for their continued loyalty and participation in MTN products and services.

The customer appreciation float was simultaneously held across all regions of the country, bringing MTN employees and customers together in a shared celebration of partnership, loyalty and progress.

The float follows the official launch of MTN Ghana’s 30th anniversary celebrations in May under the theme, ’30 Years of Progress, Powered by You,’ which highlights the invaluable contribution of customers to the company’s growth and success over the past three decades.

As the celebrations continue, MTN Ghana remains focused on investing in network expansion, digital innovation, fibre infrastructure and customer experience to serve Ghanaians better in the years ahead.
