Head coach of the Ghana national football team, Otto Addo, says he is expecting a much-improved performance from his side as they prepare to face Germany national football team in their final friendly of the March international window.
The Black Stars head into the clash following a heavy 5-1 defeat to Austria, coached by Ralf Rangnick, in Vienna — a result that has raised concerns about the team’s readiness for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Speaking ahead of the match, Addo acknowledged the shortcomings of the previous game but insisted the team has taken valuable lessons from the experience.
“We’ve had a lot of things to analyse after the last game which was a big blow for us,” he said. “We’ve discussed it in detail, and even though we are facing a stronger opponent, I am optimistic that we can respond positively.”
He added that the team is focused on making final tactical adjustments as they aim to show greater resilience and character against the four-time world champions.
The match will be played in Stuttgart, with kickoff scheduled for 18:45 GMT.
