Parliament has approved bilateral Air Services Agreements between Ghana and six countries: Benin, Saudi Arabia, Mauritius, Guyana, Luxembourg and Qatar to deepen cooperation in aviation.
The pacts set out a full and balanced structure for managing and expanding air links between Ghana and each of the partner states. They protect the sovereign interests of Ghana and the other governments while allowing appointed carriers to run the agreed routes under fair and clear terms.
The agreements also include provisions for settling disputes, require adherence to national laws, and help safeguard the financial stability of international flights. The new bilateral Air Services Agreements are projected to increase commerce, tourism, investment, and business ties by enhancing air connections and easing the travel of passengers and freight.
