The Central East Regional Police Command has apprehended 25-year-old Samuel Okolie, a suspect in a robbery case that occurred in Millennium City, Gomoa East District, Central Region.
Okolie allegedly attacked a woman around 5:30 a.m., on Thursday, July 10, 2025, snatching her handbag containing an iPhone 16 Pro Max and cash.
Following the incident, Okolie went into hiding at Ngleshie Amanfro, where a police intelligence-led operation tracked him down. During the arrest, the police recovered the stolen iPhone 16 Pro Max, which the victim identified, along with other items suspected to be stolen, including a Dell laptop, two itel mobile phones, one Nokia phone, one Alcatel mobile phone, a Vodafone WiFi device, two pairs of AirPods, a gold necklace, three wristwatches, a ladies’ purse, a wallet with a health insurance card bearing the name Kwapong Sahnan, and ten memory cards.
Okolie is currently assisting the police with their investigation. The command urges anyone who may have fallen victim to Okolie’s alleged crimes to come forward. This arrest showcases the command’s commitment to fighting crime, following the recent 25-year sentence with hard labor for Mohammed Bello, a robbery suspect involved in a highway attack at Gomoa Dabanyin on July 8.
