The Eastern Regional Police Command has arrested ten individuals for allegedly possessing arms and ammunition without lawful authority in connection with the ongoing chieftaincy dispute at Adambrobe, near Aburi in the Eastern Region.

Police indicated that a search carried out during the operation led to the retrieval of five pump-action rifles, twenty-three live cartridges, a taser, six mobile phones, and a piece of body armour. Two vehicles were also impounded: an unregistered Ford pickup and a Toyota Corolla with registration number GE 2560-19, both allegedly used to transport the suspects.
The Command further disclosed that an additional suspect, Douglas Amoako Danquah, was arrested on Monday, May 4, after reportedly being seen participating in a procession within the township. However, police clarified that the total number of persons currently held in connection with the case remains ten.

All suspects are presently in custody and assisting with ongoing investigations.
