Organisers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) have announced the official red-carpet theme for the 27th edition of the ceremony, promising a refined blend of music, fashion, and cultural expression.

In a statement issued on Thursday, 16 April, organisers revealed that this year’s theme, “A Touch of Glitter,” is intended to set the tone for a visually compelling and memorable evening at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre on 9 May 2026.

The TGMA red carpet, widely regarded as a major highlight of the awards night, has evolved into a prominent platform for artistic expression and bold fashion. Over the years, it has come to symbolise the intersection of music and style, while showcasing elements of Ghanaian identity and culture.

For the 27th edition, organisers are encouraging a more refined interpretation of glamour, urging attendees to prioritise elegance through subtle shimmer rather than overt extravagance. Guests are expected to incorporate understated sparkling elements into their attire, whether through fabric choices, embellishments, or accessories.

According to organisers, the focus this year is on sophistication and individuality, with the theme designed to inspire a balance between personal style and a cohesive visual aesthetic on the red carpet.

The red-carpet session is scheduled to begin at 7:06 p.m., setting the stage for an evening characterised by creativity, elegance, and cultural pride.

Fashion observers and industry stakeholders are expected to closely follow how celebrities, artistes, and public figures interpret the theme in diverse and innovative ways.
