The US military has paused strikes on Iran, an official said, after President Donald Trump announced he’d agreed to a two-week ceasefire with Tehran.
Iran’s military will coordinate passage of vessels through Hormuz during ceasefire, Iran’s foreign minister said.
Tehran claimed victory and said it forced the United States to accept its 10-point plan, including lifting of sanctions and accepting its nuclear enrichment, according to a statement from Iran’s Supreme National Security Council reported in Iranian state media.
Trump said Tehran’s plan “is a workable basis on which to negotiate.”
