The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has assured the nation of its readiness to defend Ghana against any external aggression and respond decisively to emerging security threats.
The military says it remains well-trained, equipped and prepared to deal with any form of aggression that could undermine national stability.
General Officer Commanding Southern Command, Brigadier General Edward Awaribey, gave the assurance in his welcome address at the 2026 Static and Firepower Demonstration at the Battle Training Camp in Bundase.
The exercise, which showcases the military’s operational capabilities, equipment and firepower, demonstrates its preparedness to defend the country’s territorial integrity.
Brigadier General Awaribey said the GAF continues to strengthen its operational effectiveness by incorporating lessons from regional security operations.
“Let me use this opportunity to assure the nation that the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) remains motivated, mission-oriented, mission-ready, highly trained, well-equipped, and prepared to respond decisively to any form of aggression or destabilisation,” he said.
