In a unanimous decision, Parliament has approved the nomination of Michael Harry Yamson as the Administrator of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF). This endorsement comes after Yamson’s impressive performance before the Appointments Committee, where he demonstrated exceptional competence, knowledge, and skills relevant to the role.

Yamson, who appeared before the committee on Thursday, March 20, 2025, assured Ghanaians of his ability to effectively manage the fund. He highlighted his extensive experience in handling large budgets, which he believes will serve him well in this new position.

With a professional background in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and telecommunications sectors, Yamson is confident that his expertise will enable him to excel as DACF Administrator. He has also emphasized the need for smarter and more transparent fund management, which aligns with his vision for the role.

Yamson’s approval has been met with optimism, and he is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the management of the DACF.
