The United States diplomatic mission in Ghana has unveiled plans to make more than 2,000 fresh visa interview openings accessible within the coming fortnight for those applying for B1/B2 visitor visas.
As detailed by the mission, these newly released slots cater to individuals organizing work-related travel, family reunions, vacation excursions, or attendance at the forthcoming global football competition. This update was shared via their official X handle on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. It follows a previous batch of over 1,000 slots for temporary visitors, which enabled applicants to move their appointment dates closer.
Those currently holding scheduled appointments later this calendar year are being advised to consider shifting to these newly opened dates to benefit from the quicker turnaround.
Those keen on applying can navigate to the embassy’s official visa portal for comprehensive instructions and scheduling options.
This development coincides with heightened interest in securing American entry permits, fueled by travelers aiming to merge professional commitments, holiday plans, and attendance at significant global athletic spectacles.
