A fatal incident has claimed the lives of three people, including a 19-year-old Senior High School leaver, Florence Naa Kwarley, in Manhean-Ablekuma, an Accra suburb.
The victims were found dead in a sleeping area, sparking renewed warnings about running generators in closed spaces. The bodies were discovered in a room belonging to a carpenter Jonas Ofosu Yeboah, who also died in the event. According to reports, Mr. Ofosu Yeboah had moved a generator into a sealed passageway that night during a power cut while the three were asleep.
The remains were located early Wednesday, May 6, already stiff, indicating they had passed away several hours earlier. Bernice Ofosu, sister of the late Jonas Ofosu Yeboah, shared details with Adom News reporter, Ohene Amponsah.

“It is heartbreaking. My brother was always careful, but that night he placed the generator in the corridor to deal with the power outage. We never imagined it would end like this,” she said.
The Amasaman Divisional Police Command stated that a probe into the incident is currently underway.
