President John Dramani Mahama has touched down in Singapore for a three-day official visit, focused on fortifying bilateral ties, broadening trade and investment links, and fostering collaborations in education, science and innovation, urban planning, agribusiness, and the digital sphere.

During his stay, President Mahama will engage in bilateral talks with Singapore’s President, H.E. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. He’ll also give the keynote speech at the 8th Africa-Singapore Business Forum (ASBF) and lead a Ghana-focused Investment and Business Forum.

This gathering will unite public and private sector leaders to unlock fresh opportunities between Ghana and Singapore.

Speaking upon arrival, the president emphasised, “Ghana and Singapore share a forward-looking outlook anchored in innovation, skills, and enterprise. This visit will translate our shared values into practical cooperation—bringing Singaporean investment and know-how into Ghana’s priority sectors while opening new pathways for Ghanaian businesses across Southeast Asia.”

President Mahama’s delegation includes Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Minister for Foreign Affairs; Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Advisor and Special Aide to the President; and Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry.

Other members are Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Presidential Spokesperson and Minister of State for Government Communications; Simon Madjie, Chief Executive of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre; and Francis Kwarteng Arthur, Chief Executive of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority.
