GoldBod Jewellery Limited has clarified its involvement in this year’s Women of Valour event, stating that the company did not provide financial support for the organisation of the programme but was listed as a partner because it offered promotional discounts to participants.
In a statement issued by the Managing Director, Gertrude Emefa Donkor, the company explained that its inclusion among the event’s partners was based on a promotional offer extended to attendees as part of its ongoing Ghana Heritage Month campaign.
According to the statement, the company provided discounts on jewellery purchases to participants of the programme, similar to promotional offers it runs during other special occasions, including Valentine’s Month.
The company emphasized that its role was strictly promotional and that it did not contribute funds toward the organisation of the event.
GoldBod Jewellery noted that the initiative aligns with its broader promotional activities aimed at celebrating Ghanaian culture and supporting customers during significant national observances such as Ghana Heritage Month.
“At GoldBod Jewellery, we focus on manufacturing and retailing timeless pieces of made-in-Ghana jewellery for our valued customers in Ghana and abroad,” the statement said.
The company reiterated its commitment to promoting locally made jewellery and positioning Ghanaian craftsmanship on both local and international markets.
