The “Emerge Us Conference,” a three-day international gathering aimed at making Africa great again, has been launched in Accra. The conference, slated for Accra from July 17 to 19, 2025, will inspire forward-thinking solutions and strategic collaboration to shape Africa’s future.
The conference schedule includes:
- Day 1: “Emerge Us Entertainment Gala” featuring fashion shows, comedy, and live performances by artistes like Bingi Blay.
- Day 2: “Black Kings and Queens Worldwide Summit” with keynote speakers, panel discussions, and Q&A sessions focused on education and empowerment.
- Day 3: “Black I Am International Awards” honoring and inducting outstanding individuals and organizations into the Emerge Us movement.
This event will bring together dynamic thought leaders, innovators, and agents of change to spark transformative conversations and drive sustainable growth across Africa.
At the press launch in Accra on June 24, 2025, Dr. Angela Harris, the visionary behind the initiative, described the upcoming event as a movement dedicated to empowering individuals and building networks. She emphasized that the Emerge Us Conference will evolve into a movement to Make Africa Great Again, characterizing it as a Christ-like movement rather than a Christian one. “We have been misled and bamboozled because of religious tactics, hence the need to rebirth, revitalize, and resurrect ourselves,” she said.
Dr. Harris also lamented the exploitation of Africa’s rich natural resources by politicians for personal gain, leaving Africans in poverty. “Africa is so great and endowed with so much resources that Europeans are seeking. Yet, as Africans, we don’t know our value, and that’s why our politicians exploit the African in us,” she noted. Her mission, she said, is to expose and bring purpose to life, insisting that “we all, as Africans, have to do our part to make Africa a prosperous place to live.”
As the Founder of Black People United Global Network, Dr. Harris highlighted the vast economic opportunities in Africa that many Africans are unaware of, stressing the need for education and empowerment.
Jessica Twumasi, former NUGS Secretary for Women’s Development and current Producer of the conference, urged Ghanaians to support the initiative. “This is more than just a conference,” Madam Twumasi said. “It’s a movement committed to empowering individuals and building networks that will drive sustainable growth across Africa.”
