Asiedu Nketia: Stay With NDC Despite Disappointments

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has called on party members to stay committed and avoid rash political choices driven by frustration, especially over unfulfilled hopes like securing contracts.

Speaking to supporters during his Thank-You Tour in Nandom in the Upper West Region on Friday, April 24, he noted rising worries among members who feel left out in the sharing of state opportunities.

He stressed, however, that the few contracts available cannot meet the demands of all party faithful.

He pointed out that even if every contract in the country was handed out, they would still not be enough for all the qualified persons chasing them.

“If we bring all the contracts available in Ghana, it will not be able to satisfy all the contractors,” he stated, asking supporters to be patient.

The NDC Chairman said the surest way to access opportunities is by keeping the party in power. In his view, ongoing political stability raises the chance that those yet to benefit today could get their turn later.

He further cautioned that leaving the NDC for the opposition, especially the New Patriotic Party (NPP) under Mahamudu Bawumia, may not bring the results they want.“What you are asking today, and we are not able to provide, are you sure you will get it when they come to power?” he questioned.
