The Children’s Support Fund, set up to support dependants of victims of the August 6 helicopter crash, has received more than GH¢10.15 million and US$20,000 in donations.
In a statement issued on March 1, administrators said contributions received between October 17, 2025 and February 7, 2026 reflect strong national backing for children left vulnerable by the tragedy. The Fund is designed to provide long-term assistance, including education, healthcare and general welfare support.
Broad-Based Support
Major contributors include Ghana Reinsurance, the Ministry of Tourism, Vitol Ghana Services Limited, the Ministry of the Interior and Kosmos Energy Ghana.
Support also came from staff at the Office of the President, professional groups, and several private individuals.

The Fund’s cumulative total now stands at GH¢10,150,495.00 and US$20,000.00. Administrators say the resources will be managed sustainably, with priority given to education and long-term social protection.
