The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a series of planned power outages across the Accra East, Accra West, Ashanti, Tema and Volta Regions on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, as part of scheduled maintenance works aimed at improving service reliability.

In the Accra East Region, power supply will be interrupted from 9:00am to 5:00pm in Lakeside Communities 7, 8 and 9, New Legon, A&C Mall, AH Hotel, East Airport International School and surrounding areas.

The Accra West Region will also experience an outage during the same period, affecting Oduman, Manhean, Odawna and nearby communities.

The Ashanti Region is expected to record the highest number of outages, with multiple maintenance exercises scheduled across different locations. Areas including Akrofuom, Wiamase, Kokotenten, Aduaneyede and surrounding communities will be affected from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

A separate outage will impact Atonsu, Gyinyase, Ahinsan Estates, Kotei, Chirapatre and nearby areas during the same period.

Other affected communities in the region include Daban, Apraman, parts of Sokoban, Wood Village, Asaago, Oti Kuwait Estate, Verna, BOST, Atomsu Bokro, Dompoase, Monaco, Everpure, Anyinam, A1 Hospital, Kokoben Newsite, Champion Hotel, parts of Santasi, Fankyenebra and surrounding areas.

Additional maintenance works will also affect Osam, Kyekyewere, Kwapia and neighbouring communities between 9:00am and 5:00pm.

In the Tema Region, the scheduled maintenance exercise will run from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Areas expected to experience power interruptions include Lebanon Zones 3 and 4, Zenu, New York, Aviation, Lashibi, Klagon, Community 19 Annex, Tsopoli, Shilo, Agortor, Nana Farms, Lutah and surrounding communities.

Meanwhile, in the Volta Region, power supply will be interrupted from 9:00am to 5:00pm in Kopeiya, Nakyikope, parts of Akatsi, Ave towns, Dzodze and nearby areas.

ECG expressed regret for the inconvenience the maintenance works may cause and advised customers in affected areas to make adequate arrangements for activities that depend on electricity.

The company assured customers that power supply would be restored immediately after the completion of the scheduled maintenance works.

The notices were issued between May 30 and May 31, 2026, with ECG encouraging customers to follow its official communication channels for updates and additional information regarding the exercises.
