The Ghana Police Service has arrested four students of Ada Senior High Technical School following a disturbing viral video showing a student wielding a cutlass and threatening colleagues on campus.

In a statement signed by the Tema Regional Head of Public Affairs, Dede Dzakpasu, police said the incident was brought to their attention around 12:10 a.m. on May 22, 2026, after the footage began circulating on social media.

According to the statement, a night patrol team was immediately deployed to the school to investigate the matter.

With assistance from school authorities, officers arrested Raymond Gyamfi, Oscar Amemoair and Odartey Wilson, all aged 18, together with one juvenile who were identified in the video.

The suspects are currently in police custody and assisting with ongoing investigations.

The police have advised students to resolve conflicts peacefully through established school channels instead of resorting to violence, threats or intimidation.

The command also urged parents and school authorities to strengthen supervision, discipline and guidance among students to help maintain safety and order within schools.

“The Command assures the public that investigations are ongoing and further developments will be communicated in due course,” the statement added.
