Fuel prices are expected to increase marginally from Tuesday, September 1, 2026, according to the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers Ghana (COPEC).
The increase is expected to affect petrol, diesel and LPG, despite a recent appreciation of the Ghana cedi against the US dollar.
COPEC said global crude oil prices fell slightly from $90.41 to $89.30 per barrel, while the cedi strengthened by about 2.39 per cent, from GH¢11.80 to GH¢11.5166 to the dollar.
However, higher international prices for refined petroleum products are expected to push pump prices up.
Petrol is projected to rise to about GH¢16.21 per litre, a 5 per cent increase from the current average of GH¢15.43.
Diesel is expected to increase to approximately GH¢17.61 per litre, while LPG could rise to about GH¢14.19 per kilogramme.
COPEC noted that the final prices may vary depending on the rates set by individual oil marketing companies.
