The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has terminated the contract of the Head Coach of the senior men’s national team, the Black Stars, Otto Addo, effective immediately, following a string of underw wling performances.
The move comes after disappointing losses to Austria and Germany in international friendlies, raising concerns about the team’s World Cup prospects.
The GFA thanked Addo for his service, saying,
“The Association wishes to thank Otto Addo sincerely for his contribution to the team and wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavours.”Addo’s departure leaves a gap in the team’s technical direction as Ghana prepares for the World Cup.
The GFA will announce a new coaching setup soon, aiming to revive the Black Stars’ fortunes in the tournament. Ghana faces England, Panama, and Croatia in group L.
