KGL Group, a leading Ghanaian conglomerate, has renewed its sponsorship agreement with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) worth GHS 20 million to support the Black Stars. This partnership, signed under the auspices of the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, reflects the company’s commitment to sports development in Ghana.
“We believe that sports is a fundamental force for national transformation — inspiring discipline, resilience, unity, and community pride,” said Alex Apau Dadey, Executive Chairman of KGL Group. “We are proud to contribute to Ghana’s sporting journey and to be part of the broader national movement to restore pride and belief in the Black Stars.”
Dadey expressed gratitude to key figures, including Sports Minister Hon. Kofi Adams and former President John Dramani Mahama, whose advocacy and leadership played a crucial role in securing the partnership. “We are deeply grateful to President John Dramani Mahama, whose legacy of prioritizing sports development reminds us of the critical role that investment and collaboration play in building national pride and nurturing future champions,” he added.
The Minister of Sports, Hon. Kofi Adams, commended KGL Group’s continuous investment in Ghana’s sports development, stating, “This sponsorship is a testament to the power of Ghanaian ingenuity to foster change.”
Kurt Okraku, President of the GFA, also expressed gratitude, saying, “KGL’s unwavering commitment to the Black Stars is proof that, together, we can elevate Ghanaian football to greater heights.”
