Award-winning Ghanaian singer and songwriter KiDi has officially confirmed his departure from Lynx Entertainment, bringing an end to his years-long association with the record label that played a major role in shaping his music career.

The artiste disclosed the development during a TikTok Live session with content creator Code Micky, where he responded to questions about his current management situation.

Asked whether he was still signed to Lynx Entertainment, KiDi responded: “No, I am no longer with Lynx.”

The singer further revealed that he is now operating as an independent artiste, marking a new chapter in his musical journey.

According to KiDi, the transition away from the label began around the release of Gymnastic, his collaboration with Olivetheboy and Kojo Blak.

KiDi joined Lynx Entertainment in 2016 after winning the 2015 edition of the MTN Hitmaker. Under the label, he established himself as one of Ghana’s leading contemporary artistes, releasing several successful records including Say You Love Me, Enjoyment, and the internationally recognised hit Touch It.

His projects, including Sugar and The Golden Boy, earned him critical acclaim, multiple awards, and growing recognition beyond Ghana’s borders.

Despite his exit from the label, KiDi continues to maintain a strong presence in the music scene. His latest release, Signature featuring Lasmid, has gained significant attention on radio and streaming platforms.

Known for his smooth vocals, songwriting ability, and crossover appeal, KiDi remains one of the prominent figures driving the global reach of Ghanaian Afrobeats and highlife music.
