President John Dramani Mahama has invited investors from across the world to explore business opportunities in Ghana, assuring them that the country remains open to partnerships regardless of political or economic affiliations.
Speaking at the Financial Times Africa Summit 2026, President Mahama said Ghana’s foreign policy of non-alignment continued to shape its international relations, enabling the country to maintain cordial ties with major global powers while pursuing investments that promote economic growth.
He stressed that Ghana was not interested in taking sides in geopolitical rivalries but rather in attracting investments that deliver mutual benefits.
President Mahama encouraged international investors to consider Ghana as a destination for their capital, emphasising that partnerships must offer fair returns to both investors and the country.
“We are friends to all and enemies to none. And Ghana’s policy of non-alignment has served us well and so we welcome investors from all over the world,” he said.
He added that Ghana’s investment strategy was not driven by competition among global powers but by the pursuit of mutually beneficial economic partnerships.
“It is not about competition. It is about investment and a fair return to everybody, including ourselves. And so that is the condition. There is no competition. We are as friendly to America, to EU, to China, and to Russia,” President Mahama stated.
His remarks underscore Ghana’s commitment to maintaining balanced international relations while positioning the country as an attractive destination for global investment.
