President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to creating a conducive environment for private investment and industrial development, citing Ghana’s US$2.62 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) recorded in 2025 as a sign of renewed investor confidence.
The President made the remarks during a working visit to the Bright International Industrial Zone, where he highlighted the importance of private-sector investment in driving economic growth and expanding industrial capacity.

Mr Mahama expressed optimism that the implementation of the New Economy Policy would further improve Ghana’s investment prospects and strengthen its appeal to both local and international investors.
He stressed the need to sustain investor confidence by creating favourable conditions for businesses to invest, expand operations and contribute to industrial development.

The visit underscored the government’s broader economic agenda of attracting private capital, promoting industrialisation and positioning Ghana as an attractive destination for investment.
