President John Dramani Mahama has cautioned government appointees against complacency, reminding them that authority is a temporary trust that must be exercised with humility and responsibility.
Speaking at his First Anniversary Non-Denominational Thanksgiving Service at the Jubilee House on Wednesday, January 7, 2025, he stressed that thanksgiving should translate into a renewed commitment to ethical governance, national unity, and service to the vulnerable.
“The year ahead will test our resolve, patience, and discipline,” he said, adding that leadership is a fleeting trust held on behalf of the people. “Let us move forward with humility, lead with empathy, and govern with courage,” he urged.
President Mahama, therefore, called on his appointees to recommit themselves to selfless service for the common good of Ghanaians, deepening reforms and accelerating national development.
