More than two million consumers and families across Ghana are being given the opportunity to win cash, scholarships, household items and other major prizes as Nestlé Ghana rolls out its latest MILO consumer promotion.
The “MILO Energy To Start” campaign, which comes with prizes valued at more than GH₵5 million, was launched at the Nestlé Head Office in Dzorwulu, Accra, as the company seeks to reward consumers who have made MILO part of their daily lives.
Among the prizes available under the promotion are educational scholarships, bicycles, cash rewards, refrigerators, smart watches and an electric vehicle designed for family use.
The campaign also provides consumers with more than one way to participate, making it possible for those with smartphones and those using mobile phones to enter.
Speaking at the launch, Nestlé Category Manager for Beverages and Dairy, Myron Otoo, said the scale of the initiative reflects the importance the company places on its consumers.
“On behalf of Nestlé Ghana and the entire MILO team, today we are switching up the energy with one of our biggest consumer promotions yet, an exciting campaign designed to reward more than 2 million consumers and families across Ghana,” he said.
Otoo said the promotion was inspired by the longstanding relationship between MILO and Ghanaian families, particularly its association with children’s education, play and everyday activities.
“For generations, MILO has helped fuel Ghanaian families with energy to learn, play and take on each day like true champions. Your loyalty to this brand reminds us of our commitment to nourishing the Ghanaian child, and this promotion is our way of giving back that energy,” he added.
“So today we say a big thank you to every consumer who has made MILO part of their family journey.”
He said the rewards had been selected to offer practical support as well as memorable experiences for winners.
“The MILO Energy Promotion is packed with exciting and meaningful rewards. We have educational scholarships to support our children, bicycles to give our active champions, an enviable EV family car to make school rides even more memorable, as well as cash prizes, refrigerators, smart watches and so much more,” Otoo said.
He added, “The mission is simple, reward your loyalty, empower your winning moments with unforgettable experiences for families across Ghana.”
For consumers looking to take part, the process begins with the purchase of a specially marked MILO pack.
Unique codes are available inside selected 400g tins as well as 20g and 37g packs. Consumers can dial 3808# and follow the instructions to submit their codes.
Those with smartphones can also scan the QR code printed on the back of the pack and complete their entry digitally.
National Sales Manager of Nestlé Ghana, Jacob Odoi, used the occasion to highlight MILO’s reach within the Ghanaian market, describing it as a brand with a strong presence in households across the country.
“This brand represents a lot of richness, and for those of us in the sales community, there is one brand that we don’t talk plenty about, you place your product there and you take your money. This is the dream of every salesperson,” Odoi said.
He said the strength of MILO goes beyond its distribution network, pointing to the emotional connection the brand has built with Ghanaian consumers over the years.
“Today we are here to celebrate the brand that is widely distributed, and the brand that is very dear to the hearts of Ghanaians, because the brand has lived the Ghanaian lifestyle within us, the lifestyle of champions,” he said.
According to Odoi, the promotion therefore represents an opportunity for Nestlé Ghana to celebrate consumers while acknowledging their continued support for the brand.
“And because of that, we are extremely happy to reward and celebrate with this promotion that is reaching out to every Ghanaian. And it’s not only a reward, I call it a testament,” he added.
The launch brought together consumers and stakeholders at the Nestlé Ghana Head Office as the company officially opened the promotion to participants nationwide.
Through “MILO Energy To Start,” Nestlé Ghana is combining consumer rewards with its longstanding message of providing nourishing energy for families, particularly children as they learn, play and take on their daily activities.
