MTN’s Save a Life Initiative came to life at the handover of the expanded Accident and Emergency (A&E) Block at Ho Teaching Hospital, a project that reflects the hospital’s powerful tagline: “ Save a Life, Save a Nation.”

The upgraded A&E facility features 35 beds, state-of-the-art medical equipment and an elevator, significantly improving the hospital’s capacity to deliver fast and efficient emergency care.

In his welcome address, the CEO of the hospital described the A&E unit as “the door to the hospital.”

He expressed deep gratitude to MTN Foundation for not only opening that door but keeping it wide open for patients who need urgent care.

In her remarks, the Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer (CCSSO), Adwoa Wiafe noted that the true value of the facility will only be realized if patients receive quality care. She encouraged staff to ensure that everyone who comes through the A&E doors receives timely, compassionate, and professional service.

The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu also expressed appreciation to MTN for the investment in healthcare and appealed to the company to extend its support by partnering with the hospital on another facility.

It was a beautiful and inspiring ceremony, highlighting how strong partnerships can strengthen healthcare and help save lives to build a stronger nation.
