Manhyia Palace has placed a ban on the unapproved use of drones and other unmanned aircraft within the palace grounds and its immediate vicinity.
The order was issued in a statement shared on the palace’s Facebook page on Saturday, August 15, and takes effect immediately. Per the palace, no drone or aerial device will be allowed to operate in the restricted zone without express clearance from palace authorities or the appropriate agencies.
The palace cautioned that any drone flown without permission will be seized.It further warned that individuals who breach the directive could be prosecuted.Drone pilots and operators of unmanned aerial vehicles have therefore been advised to secure proper authorization before carrying out any aerial operations within the prohibited area.
