Interim head coach of Asante Kotoko SC, Prince Owusu, has attributed his side’s goalless draw against Vision FC to the players’ inability to convert chances.
The Porcupine Warriors hosted the Accra-based side at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on matchday 24 of the Ghana Premier League, seeking to respond positively after their recent home defeat to Accra Hearts of Oak.
However, Kotoko failed to secure victory for the second straight home game, settling for a 0-0 stalemate.
Speaking after the match, Owusu expressed frustration over his team’s struggles in front of goal, pointing to a dip in form from striker Hubert Gyau.
“You see, the goals are not coming. It’s about four or five matches since he scored. It’s a problem for us too,” Owusu said.
“He just has to tap the ball, and he’s not doing it. All the blame comes to us (the coaches).”
The result leaves Kotoko trailing Hearts of Oak by two points on the league table, with 10 matches remaining before the end of the season.
