US demands Iran accept defeat as Tehran rejects talks, vows to fight

US has warned Iran to accept defeat or be “hit harder” than ever before, as Tehran rejects talks and pledges to continue fighting.

Meanwhile US-Israeli strikes on Iran continue as Iranian missiles target central and northern Israel.

Israeli forces pounded Lebanon as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel was expanding what he called a “buffer zone” in southern Lebanon.

Elsewhere, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates intercepted Iranian missiles and drones as the United Nations sounded the alarm over the consequences of a prolonged closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
