President John Dramani Mahama is set to commence a two-day #ResettingGhana tour of the Northern Region today, Saturday, April 18, 2026. The visit represents the second phase of the nationwide initiative, following an earlier engagement in the Bono Region.
The tour is designed to provide a direct platform for citizens to engage the President, offering feedback on government policies, their socio-economic impact, and the progress of ongoing development projects.
During the visit, residents—through their traditional authorities—will have the opportunity to present concerns and outline key developmental priorities requiring government intervention.
According to the Presidency, the President will be accompanied by a delegation comprising ministers of state and heads of key public institutions. As part of the itinerary, he is expected to perform sod-cutting ceremonies for the construction of 24-hour markets and inspect a range of development projects across the region.
On Sunday, President Mahama will host a town hall meeting at the University of Development Studies in Tamale. The session is intended to function as an accountability forum, where government officials will present and explain major policy interventions implemented over the past year.
The #ResettingGhana tour forms part of broader governmental efforts to promote transparency, deepen citizen engagement, and evaluate policy effectiveness at the grassroots level.
