The 7th Africa Ports Forum will be held in Accra on 20–21 May 2026 at the Marriott Hotel.
It will convene port, maritime and logistics leaders from across Africa for two days of talks, networking, and business deals.
Organised by One Africa Forums under the High Patronage of the Ministry of Transport of Ghana and Tanger Med Group, the Africa Ports Forum has established itself since 2019 as a leading pan-African platform dedicated to port development, maritime connectivity, and trade facilitation across the continent.
The 2026 edition will welcome port authorities, ministers, regulators, terminal operators, shipping lines, logistics providers, investors, development institutions, and technology companies from across Africa and beyond.
Around 20 countries are expected to be represented in Accra. At a time when African countries are accelerating regional integration and infrastructure modernisation, the forum will address key challenges and opportunities shaping the future of African ports and maritime trade.
Discussions will focus on strategic themes including port infrastructure financing, smart ports, green and sustainable logistics, maritime connectivity, regional corridors, digital transformation, customs modernisation, and public-private partnerships. The forum will also serve as a platform for showcasing investment opportunities and strengthening cooperation between public and private stakeholders involved in the transformation of Africa’s transport and logistics landscape.
Through plenary sessions, high-level panels, technical discussions, and B2B meetings, participants will have the opportunity to exchange expertise, share experiences, and identify new partnerships aimed at improving the competitiveness and resilience of African ports.
Speaking ahead of the event, the organizers emphasized the strategic importance of collaboration between African ports and logistics stakeholders to support intra-African trade and the ambitions of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). “The Africa Ports Forum continues to position itself as a platform for dialogue and concrete cooperation between decision-makers and operators committed to the modernisation and competitiveness of African ports,” stated the organizers. Over the years, the Africa Ports Forum has gathered key institutional and private sector actors from across the continent, contributing to the promotion of innovative solutions and strategic partnerships for the development of port and logistics infrastructure in Africa. The 2026 edition in Accra aims to further strengthen this momentum by fostering meaningful exchanges and facilitating business opportunities among stakeholders driving the future of maritime trade in Africa.
