National Chairman aspirant of the New Patriotic Party, Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko, has named two prominent political figures to lead his campaign ahead of the party’s internal elections.
The announcement was made on April 3, 2026, during a meeting with party volunteers, as part of efforts to build a strong grassroots structure to support the party’s future electoral ambitions, including positioning Mahamudu Bawumia for the 2028 general elections.
Agyarko has appointed:
- Henry Quartey as Campaign Manager. He is a former Minister for the Interior, former Greater Accra Regional Minister, and former Member of Parliament for Ayawaso Central.
- Joseph Osei-Owusu as Senior Campaign Advisor. He previously served as First Deputy Speaker of Parliament and Member of Parliament for Bekwai.
The appointments are seen as a strategic move to strengthen Agyarko’s campaign with experienced leadership and deep knowledge of party structures and national politics.
Both Quartey and Osei-Owusu have expressed confidence in Agyarko’s vision to rebuild and reposition the NPP for electoral success in 2028.
According to campaign spokesperson Vincent Frimpong Manu, plans are underway to unveil a full National Campaign Team, which will include experts in strategy, research, communications, and operations to drive the campaign forward.
