Story By: Juliet Akosua Danquah, Back Volta Region

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for North Dayi in the Volta Region, Ernest Adevor, has assured his constituents that measures are in place to tackle developmental challenges affecting their standard of living.

Briefing our Deputy Editor, Juliet Akosua Danquah, Mr. Adevor disclosed that the Assembly was consulting with various authorities to bring developmental projects to the area in key sectors to address the difficulties facing the people.

According to him, the assembly plans to drill and mechanize at least 10 boreholes across the district to alleviate the water crisis affecting the people.

The District Head stated that the Vakpo-Wusuta road construction will materialise under the Big Push Programme.

He also promised to open up the Tsyome Sabadu-Awate link road and fix other deplorable road networks to facilitate smooth accessibility and socio-economic development, noting that construction of the Tsrukpe-Botoku-Tsorxor road is already underway.

The DCE revealed that the assembly will construct a CHPS compound at Anfoega, build the 24-hour Economy Model Market at Anfoega Gblenkor, and also revamp the Vakpo market.

The District Officer noted that the assembly will construct a KG block at Aveme United Resettlement School.

He further added that the terminated contract for the Anfoega Post Office-Wadamaxe-Aveti road will soon be re-awarded,as officials are working diligently for work to commence, while the Vakpo Fu-Konda road is receiving necessary attention.

Hon. Ernest Adevor concluded that the assembly will provide modern furniture for basic schools, ICT tools to foster computer education, sanitation tools, and will complete abandoned projects in the district that were neglected by the previous government.
