The Ghana Education Service has declared an optional Easter break for Form 2 students in Senior High and Senior High Technical Schools operating under the Transitional Track system. According to a statement issued on April 11, 2025, the break will run from Thursday, April 17 to Monday, April 21, 2025.
“Students who wish to travel home and celebrate the Easter festivities with their families should be given the opportunity to do so,” the GES statement said. However, the break is not mandatory, and students who choose to remain on campus will be allowed to do so under proper supervision.
“All students who will travel home are expected to return to school on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, to resume academic activities promptly,” the GES added. This move aims to provide flexibility for students and their families during the Easter period while maintaining academic schedules.
